Oskar the Blind Kitten and His First Toys

This video reminded me of one of my cats. Also my mother has two blind cats who manage quite remarkably despite their disability and within a multi -pet household. None of them are confined to indoors and happily wander and play in the garden.

I have a partially sighted cat called ¨pickle¨. We found him in the garden, or should I say our dogs did. He was a small dot at about 6 weeks and had obviously been abandoned by his mum. Nature can be cruel and it became clear he had certain things that were not quite right. Not only is he almost blind. but he has nurological disabilities and that can be seen by the way he stands sometimes with his paw turned under. He cannot climb, but leaps through doorways just in case they may not be open! He also has some trouble regulating his temperature and gets quite cold at times. But he is 7 years old now and very happy. He is quite a character and manages amazingly well despite his disabilities. He never starys from our garden, but thank goodness! He gets on well with our dogs and cats and I am glad he popped up in our garden and our dogs found him that day. Yet another blessing for us!
