I have had these issues with my two GSD sisters who I rescued as newborns. Obviously having hand reared them too they are especially bonded with me and the family. They are eight years old and now and they are not too bad. But one particular sister still chews tissues and loo rolls etc if i leave her for too long. They used to be much worse though and I followed advice of how to deal with this problem. Once I came home to find they had completely trashed my kitchen and lounge. Eaten half the sofa, eight cushions and chewed up several of my daughters toys. Oh not too mention the half a kilo of butter they managed to get too! Oh wow that was a big lesson to me! So action was required and immediately! For one reason it is so distressing for the dogs themselves let alone the owners.
Here are a series of videos and any further articles I find of interest will be posted later.
