Following on from my post relating to increase in cases of animal abuse and neglect in the UK I have found several resources available. The RSPCA have a number of resources on their site that are aimed at educating the youth of today on the care and love of animals. Prevention is always better than cure. As responsible adults it is our responsibility to educate the next generation in many things. The love and care of animals is one area that we can begin. It has been well recognised that in doing so and teaching children about animals and the treatment of them we are encouraging empathy and compassion. This will no doubt help to try and change the attitudes of our future generations in their ability to show this love, compassion and empathy towards both the human and animal race!
